On 13.10.2023 we started with a total of 7 animals to the alpaca show in Cremona (IT). This show is organized every year by the SNAEL (Societá Italiana Alpaca e Lama).
It was only the 2nd show for us. The tension was correspondingly high ;)
As the animals born in our country were not shorn until the beginning of July, we could not take them with us as the fiber was still too short at that time.
That's why we only had animals with us that we bought in from France, Holland and Belgium in spring 2023.
Spring 2023 was a crucial time for our breeding program. Our aim was to buy more top animals from top breeding farms from all over Europe.
The show in Cremona showed us that we had made some very good purchasing decisions.
The only sad part of the show was that our stallion Flanders Krypto was downgraded due to a leg injury. (must have happened shortly before the show...so unfortunately we didn't notice). Nevertheless, he received a lot of praise from the judge for his great overall package.
